Morgantown 2012
I learned how to ride a bike in 2008, and it was the most wonderful experience ever!  Driving a mile was annoying, and walking took forever.  Cycling is not only the best mode of transportation for short distances,  IT'S SO SUPER AWESOME.  You're ON A FREAKING RIDE!!  As in, "weeeeeeee!!! I'm on a ride!!!"

Since then, I have commuted by bicycle, as well as ride my bike anywhere I could.  Further, in the summer of 2009, I tried a couple of triathlons (Racing - on a bike! It's like sports and bike riding AT THE SAME TIME!! I LOVE SPORTS!!! )  This was actually Marla's brainchild, and we had a wonderful summer going on long bike rides around New Orleans.  We even did bricks!

At the airport...
Now, in the summer of 2012, less than 4 years after learning how to ride a bike, I have committed to bike racing.  (YEAH!!!)  I joined Velo Femme, this fantastic women's bike team out of Steel City Endurance . I am committed to all 6 Abra road races this summer, as well as whatever my team does together.  And not to mention long fantastic bike rides around Pittsburgh!

I can't stay off my bike.  This blog is about riding my bike, and the path of my growth as a cyclist.  I aim to write race reports in true athlete style, but also just write love posts about how much I f-ing love to ride.
